Build the Sanctuary

We're building a sanctuary. Here's exactly where it stands.

Most causes ask you to trust that your money went somewhere. We'd rather show you the blueprint, the number, and the progress — and let you decide.

$49,000 committed of $250,000

Before we asked anyone for a dollar.

That $49,000 is the at-cost construction value committed by our founder and our affiliated build partner. We put our own in first. Now we're inviting you in.

Progress updated monthly against closed books. Every dollar of proceeds from Loxley Pets goes toward this build and the rescue work happening in the meantime.

What $250,000 builds

The full build-out. Not phase one, not a down payment — the whole compound, ready to take in animals. Here's what's in the plan:

  • ~50 kennel suites — individual indoor spaces, each opening onto its own private outdoor run. Room to decompress, not just be stored.
  • Veterinary care area — on-site exams, vaccinations, and recovery, so medical needs don't wait on an appointment across town.
  • Grooming and wash facility — because most strays arrive needing one before anything else.
  • Open green play yards — fenced, shaded, with agility equipment and room to run. Exercise is rehabilitation.
  • Reception and adoption building — a welcoming front door where families meet their future pet.
  • Intake and quarantine space — new arrivals assessed and settled safely before joining the population.

Located in the Houston, Texas area.

Why we're building it at cost

Our affiliated construction partner is building this at cost — no builder margin. That means more of every dollar goes into the ground, the kennels, and the care instead of overhead. It's also why $250,000 goes further here than it would almost anywhere else.

How your purchase fits in

You don't donate. You shop.

Buy the leash, the bed, the cooling mat — things you were buying anyway. After product cost and a lean roughly 10% to keep the operation running, the proceeds fund this build and the rescue work happening right now, before the gates ever open.

Not a portion of proceeds. The proceeds. That's the whole reason Loxley Pets exists.

This is already real

The sanctuary isn't built yet — but the work has started. A Belgian Malinois was dumped in a Houston park on a Saturday. Seven days later she was in a forever home with an experienced owner, with professional training in between. That week cost money, and that's exactly what your order pays for.
